What are your wipes best use?

These are your wipes, don't let anyone tell you what to put in them.

Because the wipes come dry, you can add any formula you want depending on your use.

Check out our product page for some tips & tricks to build your own wipes.

Why do your wipes come dry?

So, this is where ECO Wipes broke away from the pack.

We built a system that works without soft plastic.

No chemical preservatives needed.

No long storage times that demand more nasties.

Instead, the formula goes in separately.

That means wipes stay fresh, safe, and simple.

And the best part?

They’re fully customisable.

Set up different dispensers for different uses.

Use them dry for make-up removal.

Swap them in for tissues or paper towels.

Take them camping as your no-waste bush buddy.

When you’re done → compost them… or just dig and bury.

Is your toilet paper septic safe?

Yes, bamboo toilet paper is biodegradable and breaks down easily, making it safe for septic systems and standard plumbing.

Are the ECO Keeps washable?

Yes, we designed the ECO keeps so they can be washed up to 5 times!

Is raw unbleached bamboo rough to touch?

Our bamboo is softer than you’d expect, and everyone who’s tried it has been pleasantly surprised. We think you will be too.

Sometimes our dispenser labels lose shape...

We’ve chosen to keep our labels unbleached and compostable, it’s better for the planet, even if they break down over time.

If you ever need a fresh one, just let us know and we’ll pop it into your next order for free.

How long does it take for your products to break down in the compost?

Our unbleached bamboo products usually break down within 2–6 months in a home compost...

Depending on conditions like heat, moisture, and aeration.

In commercial composting facilities, it’s even faster.

Because they’re free from bleach, plastics, and harsh chemicals, they return safely to the soil without leaving harmful residues.

The Science

Why unbleached?

Because bamboo isn’t naturally white, it has to be bleached with chlorine and dioxins to look that way.

Those chemicals don’t just strip colour; they pollute waterways, irritate skin, and harm ecosystems.

By keeping our bamboo wipes unbleached,

We keep toxins out of your home and out of the planetwhile giving you a product that’s safe, raw, and compostable.

Why are Dixons harmful to human health?

Dioxins don’t just pass through your system, they build up in the body over time.

One exposure may not seem like a big deal, but repeated contact leads to serious risks:

  • Increased cancer risk: Classified as carcinogens, they raise the likelihood of long-term disease.
  • Hormone disruption: Interfere with the endocrine system, affecting reproduction and development.
  • Weakened immunity: Damage the body’s natural defenses, leaving you more vulnerable to illness.
  • Developmental harm: Prenatal exposure can affect fetuses and children’s growth.
  • Persistent accumulation: Stay in the environment and human tissue for years, compounding their effects.

This is why we refuse to bleach.

Unbleached bamboo means no dioxins, for your health and for the planet.

Why haven't dioxins been banned by governments?

Dioxins are usually unintentional byproducts of industrial processes, which makes them difficult to eliminate entirely.

Governments focus on limiting exposure and managing risks, but the truth is, a full ban would be far more effective.

Bamboo vs recycled paper?

Both great environmental solutions.

We prefer to stay away from white all together to not support the industry.

All bamboo is not made equally.

Our bamboo is sourced from one of the most sustainable bamboo forests in the world.

Check out our "Our bamboo" page on how seriously we take this.

We vote for raw unbleached and truly sustainable bamboo.

What's the difference between white and brown bamboo?

Bamboo is naturally brown, it only turns white after being chemically bleached, which introduces harmful dioxins.

Our wipes are made from raw, unbleached bamboo pulp.

Which keeps them safe for your skin, better for waterways, and even adds nutrients like silica back into the soil when composted.

Why is Bamboo good for the soil and your compost?

Bamboo benefits the soil by contributing silica, a mineral that supports plant health.

As bamboo grows, it absorbs silica from the soil and then returns it when its leaves and stalks decompose.

Silica helps strengthen plant cell walls, improves resistance to pests and diseases, and boosts overall plant growth.

So, bamboo not only benefits from silica but also enriches the soil, promoting a healthier ecosystem.
