Born in the Australian Bush

ECO GENESIS STORY

.

As avid hikers and campers, we used to joke that the most important item in our pack was wet wipes…

.

And the second most important was “the backup wipes.”

.

But after burying so-called “biodegradable” white wipes in the bush, something felt off.

.

Did these really break down the way they claimed to?

.

As caretakers of our environment, we dug deeper.

.

Research showed the truth: white wipes take over a century to break down and are bleached with dioxins ...

.

One of the “dirty dozen” chemicals.

.

To make wet wipes work, manufacturers also load them with preservatives, then wrap them in soft plastic.

.

What does this lead to?

.

Skin conditions, Hormonal imbalance and even reproductive and developmental problems.

.

We searched everywhere for an unbleached bamboo wipe and found… nothing.
.

So, we became our first customers.

.

From a small garage, we sketched, tested, and prototyped.

.

Every wall we hit came from our non-negotiables:

.

  • No soft plastic (always needed to hold moisture).
  • No nasty preservatives (used for long shelf life).
  • No chlorine bleach (slows breakdown unnaturally).
  • No higher cost than standard wipes.
  • Nothing ending up in landfill, from material to packaging.

.

Plenty of people told us we were worrying too much…

.

But we’re environmentalists first.

.

And after five years of researching and refusing to compromise, we built a system that works.

.

Today,

.

ECO Wipes has grown into a full line of products, with even bigger plans ahead to expand our vision and continue our mission as true ECO warriors.

OUR MISSION

To be Australia’s one-stop shop for premium, unbleached wipeables.

Products that stay affordable, never inflated, and always eco-conscious.

Every purchase helps restore Australian forests.

And as we grow, our community grows with us.

With better quality, better value, and better service at every step.

OUR VISION

To make all paper products brown again, and in doing so, eliminate dioxins from our soil and waterways.

As we grow, our impact grows too: from bush regeneration to large-scale soil rehabilitation.

And we’ll do it alongside other epic companies, because teamwork really does make the dream work.
